Who We Are
Romano Travel and Tours, Inc. is a licensed travel agency authorized by the Department of Tourism – Region XII, founded in August 2008 by Elsie P. Romano in General Santos City. It began as a PAL and Cebu Pacific accredited (DTP) ticketing agency, later earning the PAL Gold Award and Cebu Pacific Silver Wings Award for excellence in sales and service.
In 2017, the company transitioned into a full corporation, expanding into domestic and international tours, visa assistance, and educational tours — with branches now serving Koronadal City and Davao City alongside its General Santos headquarters.
Today, Romano Travel and Tours continues to build on over a decade and a half of experience, working toward its goal of becoming the leading full-service tour operator in Mindanao — Regions XI and XII.

Long before maps bore the name SOCCSKSARGEN, old accounts describe Koronadal Valley as a shallow sea channel joining Lake Buluan to Sarangani Bay — until Mt. Matutum erupted and, layer upon layer, built the fertile plains we now call home. Fitting, then, that land shaped by such upheaval became one of the most diverse corners of the Philippines.
Here the Moro trace royal lineage to a bamboo-born princess and a prince from Johore; the Indigenous T'boli and B'laan hold flood stories older than memory, their dreamweavers still working the looms of Lake Sebu; and from 1939 onward, settlers stepped onto the shores of Dadiangas carrying little but hope and a pioneer's bahala na spirit. Three peoples, poured into one valley, becoming — as the region's own historians describe it — a true melting pot of culture.
